Job summary

Stancil Services in Leland, NC is seeking a Plumbing Laborer to support crews through slab, rough-in, and trim work on residential construction. You'll assist with material handling, site prep, installation support, and cleanup under a foreman's direction to keep projects safe and on schedule.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2–4 years plumbing/rough-in exposure, read drawings, and be comfortable lifting heavy materials. The job offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years plumbing or rough-in experience preferred.
• Understanding of rough-in processes, materials, codes, and installation standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings and plumbing diagrams.
• Proficient with plumbing and power tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability for strenuous fieldwork.
• Valid driver’s license for 3+ years.
• Willingness to develop technical skill and field knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with layout, measuring, and underground plumbing placement.
• Transport and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support pipe cutting, fitting, and installation under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area during slab prep and install.
• Assist with installation of water, drain, and vent piping.
• Help mount fixtures and supports as directed.
• Load, unload, and organize materials on-site.
• Follow installation instructions and safety guidelines.
• Assist with fixtures, trim components, and final connections.
• Support testing and inspection preparation.
• Help with punch-list items and final cleanup.
• Identify upcoming material needs and communicate shortages.
• Coordinate with other trades for proper spacing.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and compliance with safety protocols.
• Operate plumbing tools and equipment with proficiency.
• Provide clear progress updates to foreman and field manager.
• Protect jobsite property and maintain professional interactions.
• Learn and comply with the Stancil reference guide.
• Other related duties as assigned.
