Job summary

The Terminix International Company Limited Partnership in Springfield, IL, is seeking a Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management services. You will conduct thorough inspections, identify infestations, apply pesticides and traps, and provide preventative recommendations to protect customers’ homes.

You will educate clients, schedule visits, maintain equipment, and follow safety regulations. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us).
• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills — follow instructions for mixing on product labels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and assist with sales where applicable.
• Ensure pest control equipment is properly maintained and stocked; comply with regulations.
