Job summary

Rentokil North America is seeking a Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management services, conduct thorough inspections, and apply treatments while ensuring safety and customer communication.

You will educate customers on prevention, build relationships, and support sales to expand our product reach. A valid driver’s license and flexible schedule are required in this FT role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us).
• Available to work Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.
• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills — follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment; provide advice to reduce future infestations.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand product to new customers.
• Ensure pest control equipment is maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
• Adhere to regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Operate the company vehicle safely.
• Working in tight, confined spaces; around animals, insects and termites; around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, heights and scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals; indoors and outdoors in weather gear; frequent movement and PPE use.
