Job summary

Century Housing in Long Beach, CA is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day repairs and preventive maintenance across our residential units. You will handle painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC support, electrical work, and safety compliance, while coordinating with licensed contractors for major repairs.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, strong problem-solving and customer-service mindset, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of residential property maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry repairs.
• Safe use of standard hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident maintenance work orders promptly.
• Paint interiors/exteriors and patch drywall as needed.
• Fix leaks, toilets, and small plumbing issues.
• Provide HVAC support and coordinate with licensed contractors for major work
• Perform basic electrical repairs (outlets/switches) and light carpentry
• Assist with unit turnovers and maintain grounds and common areas
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; follow safety codes
