Job summary

SFR3 LLC, a boutique real estate investment fund owner of 9,500+ homes across 19 states, seeks a field-focused maintenance professional. You will perform multi-trade repairs, inspect and secure properties, and manage turnovers, with tech-enabled workflow to log updates.

Applicants should have carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical skills, and strong communication. This role offers guaranteed hours, mileage reimbursement, and growth opportunities within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work and property turns.
• Advanced certifications in plumbing and HVAC preferred.
• Strong communication for resident and team interactions.
• Own tools and have a truck or van.
• Valid driver’s license; reside within reasonable proximity.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Comfortable using handheld devices for work orders and updates.
• Familiar with building codes, EPA, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs (Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical).
• Travel daily between homes within the metro area.
• Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle minor pre-renovation repairs and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
• Document property conditions using handheld devices.

SFR3 is a boutique real estate investment fund acquiring $2B+ in affordable single-family homes by 2024. The Fund renovates distressed homes, using software-driven operations to run many tertiary markets concurrently.

We’ve turned thousands of distressed homes from Cincinnati to Columbia into newly renovated, affordable rentals. We’re just getting started – want to join the teams behind all the hard work?

Our first fund owns 9,500+ homes in 19 states.

As a PE, you’ll play a key role in ensuring tenant satisfaction by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining homes. You’ll proactively identify and address issues, setting the standard for our relationship with tenants through excellent service and communication.

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical work.
• Travel from home to home within your metro daily
• Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle minor pre-renovation repairs, utility inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
• Maintain and document property conditions using handheld technology (e.g., iPad, iPhone).

• Ownership: Take full responsibility for work orders (WO), setting realistic expectations, communicating timelines, and following through to resolution.


• Clear Communication: Keep residents informed every step of the way, ensuring they know the next steps and expected completion dates.

Qualifications:

• Multi-Trade Knowledge: Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and property turns.
• Must be advanced in plumbing and HVAC (certifications highly preferred)


• Customer-Focused: Strong communication skills for positive resident and team interactions.


• Tools and Transportation: Must own tools and have a truck or van.


• Licensing & Location: Valid driver’s license required; reside within reasonable proximity.
