Job summary

Apalachee Center, Inc. in Quincy, FL is seeking a Full Time LPN to provide and coordinate nursing services and unit operations. You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and assist physicians in treatment and follow-up care.

Under supervision of the Residential Program Manager and Lead Nurse, you will oversee shift operations, supervise MHAs, and ensure staffing, safety, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Official transcripts from approved vocational or technical school.
• Minimum of one (1) year of LPN experience preferred.
• Previous psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct comprehensive nursing care, upon admission and ongoing, ensuring quality patient outcomes and unit safety.
• Receives and implements physician orders and completes resident MARs.
• Administers medications and documents according to procedures; educates patients and conducts crisis intervention as needed.
• Supervises Mental Health Assistants (MHAs) on shift, coordinating staff and documenting activities.
• Oversees staff time and attendance and ensures timely completion of timesheets.
