Zusammenfassung

Verland is seeking a Life Skills Trainer to work closely with one Individual in a residential setting, delivering direct supervision and assistance with daily living skills, hygiene, mealtime procedures and self-management. The role includes documenting progress, implementing individualized plans and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities span developing training programs, supporting leisure and social activities, and participating in IPP meetings.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in training individuals with challenging behaviors.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Psychology, Memory Care, QORCP).
• Patience, self-motivation, and willingness to learn skills to address behaviors.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Aufgaben

• Develop training programs and strategies for new life skills and reinforce existing ones.
• Assist individual with daily living tasks and safety routines.
• Document progress daily using individualized methods.
• Implement goals and procedural objectives based on programs.
• Coordinate daily routines, self-advocacy and positive reinforcement of adaptive behaviors.
• Support Memory Care and ID teams and communicate with Psychiatry services.
