TruGreen is hiring a Residential Lawn Care Technician in Virginia Beach. You’ll manage your own route, apply lawn care treatments, and deliver exceptional service outdoors.

Paid training and state certification support help you build a successful career with a leader in lawn care. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with higher starts for licensed candidates, plus bonuses, overtime in peak season, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass MVR check and background screening.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent customer service mindset and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle along an assigned route.
• Apply lawn care treatments to residential or commercial properties.
• Identify customer needs and suggest solutions or additional services.
• Manage route and customer data using a tablet.

What You'll Do

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route (must be able to become DOT certified)
• Applying lawn care treatments to residential and commercial properties
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions and additional services
• Managing your route and customer information using a tablet
• Building relationships with customers and delivering exceptional service
• Work outdoors in a fast-paced, independent environment safely

What To Expect

• Walking an average 10-12 miles outdoors throughout the day
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating equipment safely
• Serving multiple customers each day

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass MVR and comfortable consenting to a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable, self-motivated, customer-focused mindset
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
