Job summary

TruGreen is seeking a Residential Lawn Care Technician in Greenwood, IN to manage an assigned route, apply lawn care treatments, and build relationships with customers while delivering outstanding service outdoors. You’ll work with a supportive local team and have opportunities for growth.

Paid training and company-paid state certification, plus benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match, start soon after hire. Overtime is available during peak season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old at hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass MVR and background check.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• English speaking, reading, and writing fluency.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle on assigned route (DOT certified as needed).
• Apply lawn care treatments to residential properties.
• Identify customer needs and propose solutions/add-on services.
• Manage route and customer data using a tablet.
• Build relationships and deliver exceptional service.

No lawn care experience? No problem. We'll provide paid training, hands-on coaching, and company-paid certification so you can build the skills needed to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route (must be able to become DOT certified)
• Applying lawn care treatments to residential and commercial properties
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions and additional services
• Managing your route and customer information using a tablet
• Building relationships with customers and delivering exceptional service
• Work outdoors in a fast-paced, independent environment safely.

What To Expect

• Walking an average 10-12 miles outdoors throughout the day
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating equipment safely
• Serving multiple customers each day

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass MVR and comfortable consenting to a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable, self-motivated, customer-focused mindset
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
