Job summary

TruGreen in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Residential Lawn Care Technician to service homeowners across Castle Hayne and surrounding communities. You’ll drive a company vehicle on an assigned route, apply lawn care treatments, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in a fast-paced, independent environment.

Paid training, certification, and competitive earnings begin at $18 per hour with overtime during peak season.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old at hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass MVR and consent to a criminal background check.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route; DOT certification eligibility.
• Apply lawn care treatments to residential properties.
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions and additional services.
• Manage route and customer information using a tablet.

What You'll Do

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route (must be able to become DOT certified)

What To Expect

• This is a physically active role that includes:
• Walking an average 10-12 miles outdoors throughout the day
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating equipment safely
• Serving multiple customers each day

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass MVR and comfortable consenting to a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
