Job summary

Tilson Homes is seeking a Residential Land Preparation Specialist to work with customers in the Gulf Coast area and prepare home sites on customers’ properties. The role involves meeting with clients, fieldwork outdoors, and coordinating land development for future construction.

Responsibilities include marking site locations, researching local/state codes, obtaining permits, and ensuring utilities, well, and septic needs are addressed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record for company vehicle insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Research: identify obstacles and requirements for the property (state, local, FEMA).
• Confirm the property location (city, county) and identify utility providers.
• Determine house placement and need for utilities, well and septic.
• Determine site conditions and coordinate site improvements as necessary.
• Determine permits needed and obtain permits.
• Complete a physical stake out of the property and future home location with regard to the property survey and grade elevations.

Tilson Homes looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the Gulf Coast area as a Residential Land Preparation Specialist.

Requirements

As a Residential Land Preparation Specialist you will be responsible for marking out the location of the house on the customer’s property based on the information provided. Research and ensure compliance with any local or state restrictions, and facilitating land development activities that prepare a future home site for construction. Additional requirements are:

• Meet with customers prior to construction to discuss the location of the house on the property.
• Research: identify any obstacles, requirements (state, local, FEMA) for the property.
• Confirm the location of the property (city, county) and identify utility providers.
• Determine the location of house placement on the property and the need for utilities, well and septic.
• Determine site conditions and coordinate site improvements as necessary.
• Determine what permits are needed and obtain permits.
• Complete a physical stake out of the property and future home location with consideration of the property survey and shoot grade elevations.
• Must have knowledge of state and county codes for well and septic.
• Must have a valid driver's license and have a clear driving record for company vehicle insurance purposes.
