Job summary

Dixie Electric, Plumbing, Air and Doors is offering an HVAC Apprenticeship Program. You’ll work beside seasoned technicians to install, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems, developing practical skills through on‑the‑job training and classroom sessions.

This entry-level role emphasizes safety, reliability, and a strong work ethic while paving a path toward licensure and full technician status within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in crawl spaces, attics, and on roofs.
• HVAC trade school enrollment or completion a plus (not required).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and service of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Help load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
• Support technicians in diagnosing system issues and performing repairs
• Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and service vehicle
• Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with team members and customers
• Attend training sessions and pursue licensing or certification as required
