Job summary

Safe Berks is seeking a Housekeeper to support Residential Services in Reading, PA. This full-time position offers a 40-hour work week with shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

The starting rate is $16.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, and the incumbent will report to the Director of Residential Services. Qualifications

• One year of housekeeping operations experience required.
• Experience working in a residential/communal setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping operations in accordance with agency standards.
• Maintain equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage, and prevent accidents.
• Daily inspections of residential communal living spaces to ensure safety and sanitary conditions.
• Ensure infection control techniques including PPE are practiced.
• Clean all rooms for new residents and after resident departures.
• Ensure all housekeeping tasks meet quality standards.
• Communicate housekeeping needs with the Director of Facilities.
• All other duties as assigned by department head.
