Skywood Recovery Center in Augusta, MI is seeking a detail‑oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary environment for residents and staff. You will handle laundry, operate cleaning equipment, and report maintenance needs promptly.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of housekeeping experience. UHS benefits include medical plans, 401(k), PTO and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of housekeeping/cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for laundry duties.
• Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, washer/dryer, etc.
• Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning and replacing of equipment and furnishings.
• Responsible for daily disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
• Must handle various cleaning solvents and chemicals in accordance with established safety regulations.
• Damp dusts furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.
• Sweeps and wet mops floors in all resident rooms and bathrooms daily.
• Damp mops all corridor floors, lobby, dining areas, and others daily.
• Cleans wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily.
• Checks all vacant rooms daily to keep fresh.
• Reports any needed repairs or equipment malfunction to supervisor immediately.
• Cleans all air vents.
• Checks entire area for spills, water, etc., periodically.
• Uses safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
