Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a floater/on-call role in a residential setting in New York. The position requires evening (3pm-11:30pm) and weekend (Sat-Sun) availability with a minimum of 24 hours per week.

You will provide direct care to adults with developmental disabilities, assist with daily living activities, and support skill development. You must have a High School Diploma or GED and a NY DSP certificate, with AMAP, CPR/First Aid, and driving privileges to be

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certificate is required.
  • Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental/physical disabilities preferred.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record REQUIRED.
  • AMAP Certification - REQUIRED.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification - current or can be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration (per AMAP).
  • Support nutrition and mealtime activities, including meal preparation and safe handling.
  • Maintain a safe, clean residential environment and assist with minor maintenance tasks.
  • Promote development, independence, and community integration through skill-building and transportation assistance.
  • Encourage positive interpersonal relationships and money management.
  • Observe, document, and report progress; participate in planning, meetings, and training.
