Benjamin Franklin Plumbing seeks a Drain Technician to diagnose drainage issues and clean drains using professional equipment. Responsibilities include operating a reel machine, installing rotary knives, removing roots and debris, and measuring distances to leaks.

Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma, at least 2 years of verifiable drain cleaning experience, knowledge of plumbing concepts, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable drain cleaning experience in a residential service/maintenance operation.
• Knowledge of plumbing field concepts, practices, tools, and procedures.
• Computer proficiency in basic software and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Removes drain cover using a wrench.
• Installs rotary knives on a flexible cable mounted on a reel machine.
• Starts the machine to feed cable, stops to change knives for pipe diameter.
• Removes roots, debris, and other refuse from drains.
• Withdraws cable to deposit residue in disposal containers.
• Measures distance from drain opening to suspected leak/break.
• Repairs any breaks in piping.
• Maintain a professional image and follow safety policies.
• Maintain and clean the company vehicle and respect customer property.
