Job summary

Bridgewell, based in Massachusetts, seeks a Residential Director to lead a group of residential program managers and programs. The role drives service quality, regulatory compliance, and budget oversight in a multifaceted organization serving individuals with disabilities and other life challenges.

You will hire and develop staff, build relationships with funding sources, and participate in management groups to shape agency strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with people with disabilities; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and supervise program managers to ensure that performance standards are upheld and that all individuals are working following agency requirements, mission, goals, and principles.
  • Provide leadership to all staff by creating a positive work climate and creating a cohesive team environment.
  • Promote the professional growth of all staff through coaching, mentoring, and continuous training.
  • Oversee the referral, intake, transfer, and discharge process for all assigned programs.
  • Ensure ongoing systems for measuring the quality of services and compliance with DDS regulations, CARF, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that services are maintained according to DDS, CARF all applicable regulatory standards, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Develop, monitor, and ensure compliance with program budgets.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, community groups, families, and other service providers.
  • Participate in Bridgewell's Middle Management Group and other committees as assigned.
  • Provide interim program leadership during the Program Director's absence or vacancy.
  • Maintain all core training certifications including MAP certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Residential Director provides support and supervision to a group of residential program managers and programs.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (40 hours) On Call required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Required Education / Experience
  1. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with people with disabilities is required: a Master's degree is preferred.
  3. A minimum of 1 year of supervisory and team leadership experience is required.
Required Skills / Knowledge
  1. Strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills.
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop and foster positive relationships with funding sources and community groups.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage an operating budget.
  5. A minimum of intermediate-level computer skills.
  6. Valid Driver's license in the state of residence (MA or NH).
