ADP, Inc. invites applications for a Part-time Steward in the Residential Dining program at Beach Shops, Long Beach, CA. The role covers dishwashing, back-of-the-house and front-of-the-house support, and keeping the dining area neat and inviting.

Flexibility is essential to handle a variety of duties through the shift. Shifts follow campus dining hours, typically 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a minimum 20 hours during the academic term.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in maintaining and operating floor cleaning equipment.
• California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• English communication and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set-up dish room and equipment to receive dirty dishes and utensils.
• Clean all dishes, including pots and pans.
• Return cleaned items to proper storage throughout the shift.
• Maintain dish room cleanliness during and after shifts.
• Stock dining rooms with plates, glasses, cups and silverware; restock as needed.
• Maintain trash cans; keep areas free of debris.
• Clean spills to ensure guest and employee safety.
• Clean floors, tables, hood filters and kitchen equipment daily.
• Assist with receiving and dry storage or freezer items.
• Assist culinary staff in the kitchen as needed.
• Set up and clean food stations for meal service.
• May assist with serving and plating for guests.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the job.
