Job summary

Cumberland Heights is seeking a Residential Counselor to support a patient-centered care model across our 177-acre campus. You will participate in evaluation, treatment planning, and coordination with the treatment team to advance long-term recovery for patients and families.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field or LADAC credentials, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within the Cumberland Heights Model of Care. Weekend work and flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in related field (counseling, counseling psychology, social work or LADAC I with LADAC II preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Ability to learn and use clinical software and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Manages a group of patients and coordinates treatment across the residential continuum.
• Clinically evaluates goals, needs, barriers and strengths to inform treatment planning.
• Diagnoses substance use or co-occurring mental health disorders within licensure limits.
• Develops patient-centered care plans and continuing care planning.
• Facilitates individual, group and family counseling and psycho-educational groups.
