Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Residential Counselor - Per Diem - NOC Shift at Michael’s House in Palm Springs, California. The role focuses on maintaining a safe milieu and providing patient-centered care for individuals with co-occurring disorders in a residential treatment setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing pass-down information, conducting psycho-educational groups, and participating in milieu-related meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in health field or equivalent.
• Licensed or certified as chemical dependency counselor preferred.
• Must register to become licensed or certified as CA AOD counselor within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with addictions and/or co-occurring disorders strongly preferred.

Michael’s House is currently seeking a dynamic Residential Counselor - Per Diem - NOC Shift responsible for maintaining a safe milieu and providing patient-centered care for patients in a residential treatment setting that specializes in treating patients with co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Experience working with addictions and/or co-occurring disorders strongly preferred
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
