Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services seeks a Residential Counselor to support adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries in a group home setting in Massachusetts. You will assist with daily living and help residents build social and daily living skills for greater independence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and are able to drive the residence van, bringing a compassionate, person-centered approach to care and community integration.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Experience working with adults with brain injuries or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to drive residence van.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and maintain a personally owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of a group home serving individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries.
• Promote community integration by supporting access to resources, fostering relationships, and reducing stigma.
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment and implement crisis interventions when needed.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Eliot is seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to join our Developmental Disabilities (DD) division. Our residential programs offer a person-centered continuum of services that provides innovative and high quality programming to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program offers support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives, develop social and daily living skills, and build social and community connections. As a Residential Counselor, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of a group home for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients with brain injuries and/or developmental disabilities.

Schedule

Saturday & Sunday, 12pm-8pm (16 hours)

Sunday, 9am-11pm; Wednesday 9am-3pm; Saturday 9am-5pm (28 hours)

Tue-Saturday, 3pm-11pm (40 hrs)

Hourly Rate

$19.50—$19.50 USD
