Job summary

Charles River Center is seeking a Residential Counselor to support residents by developing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and delivering direct care and training. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and transportation to appointments, while promoting resident dignity and rights.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols, completion of mandatory trainings, and ongoing documentation.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Completion of required trainings: First Aid/CPR within 1 month; Medication Administration within 6 months; Safety Care/Human Rights/Universal Precautions; CORE Curriculum within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and track progress.

• Assist residents with housing rules and advocacy.

• Lead weekly house meetings on recreation, meals, and concerns.

Position OverviewThe Residential Counselor plays a vital role in developing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and providing direct care, training, and support to residents.
