Job summary

Horizon Health Services is seeking a Residential Counselor for Horizon Village Campus in Sanborn, NY. This full-time position offers a close-knit, team-based environment in a four-building residential treatment setting for adults with substance use disorders.

You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, participate in weekly one-on-ones and team meetings, maintain records, and coordinate with other service providers.

Qualifications

• CASAC (Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) required.
• Master’s degree that will grant licensure in New York required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your manager and team meetings.
• Coordinate with other service providers and family members.
• Maintain patient records per regulatory requirements and QA standards.

As a Residential Counselor at Horizon, you will...

Location:

Horizon Village Campus in Sanborn, NY is composed of four residential buildings: Aurora Village, Delta Village, Freedom Village, and Horizon Village, along with our innovative Wellness Center. Our intensive residential treatment facilities are dedicated to the total care of adults with substance use disorders. This opening is specifically for 6301 Inducon Dr E, Sanborn NY.

Hours:

This position is a full-time position with a schedule of either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday with 2 evening shifts required.

Compensation:

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $51,979.20 - $62,296. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. There is also a 15% pay differential for weekend hours worked. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

• Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting.
• Mobility required between worksites and within facilities.
• Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
• Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
