Job summary

Bethany Children’s Home is seeking a Cottage Support Staff Team Lead for the 3rd shift in Womelsdorf, PA. The role supervises cottage teams, coordinates daily schedules, and ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining a safe, supportive residential environment for youth aged 6–20.

The position requires prior supervisory experience, education in the behavioral sciences, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Be fluent in the language(s) spoken by a majority of the youth in care.
• Have acceptable written and verbal communication skills.
• Have acceptable organizational and computer skills.
• Demonstrate acceptable interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Possess ability to establish rapport and relate sensitively with multiracial/multicultural groups.

Responsibilities

• Completes incident and shift reports.
• Ensures cottage compliance with regulations and program requirements.
• Completes daily staffing assignments.
• Responds to crisis and emergency situations.
• Plans and implements a daily schedule of activities.
• Assists with referrals and admissions when Case Manager is absent.
• Oversees cottage budget and expenses.
• Supervises youth in ratio as needed.
• Conducts regular staff training and performance evaluations.
