Job summary

Wi Development Corp is seeking a dependable Construction Helper/Material Runner to support field crews on high-end residential projects in Bay Shore and surrounding Long Island areas. You will handle material pickups and deliveries, help with carpentry tasks, and keep sites organized and safe.

The role requires some residential construction experience, effective communication in English and Spanish, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Some residential construction, remodeling, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is required for coordination on deliveries and tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver materials, tools, supplies, and equipment to project sites.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction materials.
• Verify pickup orders and report missing or damaged materials.
• Assist carpenters, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Complete basic carpentry, painting, spackling, caulking, and repair tasks.
• Help with site setup, cleanup, and project closeout.
• Organize tools, materials, and company vehicles; maintain safe job sites.
• Travel between office, suppliers, and project sites within the local area.
