Job summary

Granite Recovery Centers is seeking a Full Time Residential Counselor/Clinician to provide treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, individual/group/family therapy, crisis intervention, education, referrals, and thorough documentation.

Essential duties involve collaborating with health and criminal justice professionals, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and developing person-centered treatment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling or related field is required.
• Maine licensure or eligible for licensure with willingness to pursue state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy, including family therapy and crisis intervention.
• Screening, intake, orientation, assessment, and treatment planning.
• Document progress notes within 24 hours of service.
• Develop person-centered, individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with treatment team and reporting professionals as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA, licensing, and organizational guidelines.

Education

Master’s Degree in mental health counseling, social work or related field

Maine licensure, or licensed eligible with a willingness to work towards state licensure
