Job summary

Trash Taxi of Georgia seeks safety-conscious, courteous, experienced Residential Drivers to join our Acworth, GA team. The role involves collecting and hand loading residential waste and recycling, driving a rear-load truck to a landfill, and maintaining professional communication with customers and dispatchers.

The job requires a valid CDL with airbrakes, at least one year of CDL-driving experience, and the ability to pass DOT physicals, background, and drug screens.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic
• At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years
• Clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations
• Pre-employment drug screen, background and MVR checks and DOT physical

Responsibilities

• This is a physically demanding job that requires collecting and hand loading residential waste and recycling and transporting it to a landfill with a rear-load truck.
• Communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers, address complaints about schedules and service quality, and report them while remaining courteous to all parties.
• Read and understand maps, complete daily driver logs, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Work in all weather extremes including extreme heat or cold, wet or dry conditions.
