Chads Design Build in Madison, WI is seeking a Residential Carpenter to join a team focused on high-quality residential remodeling projects. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay and opportunities to contribute to kitchens, baths, basements, additions, and whole-home renovations.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, read construction plans, and help keep projects on schedule while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A few years of hands-on carpentry, residential remodeling, or construction experience.
• Solid foundational carpentry skills with an interest in growing.
• Familiarity with construction plans and drawings.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Dependable, team-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Personal hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work on residential remodeling projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and whole-home renovations.
• Assist with framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other remodeling work.
• Read and work from construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Work alongside experienced carpenters and project managers to keep projects moving.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites.
• Identify jobsite challenges and work with the team to find practical solutions.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners and coworkers.
• Continue developing your carpentry and remodeling skills through hands-on experience and training.
