Job summary

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco is seeking a Camp Program Specialist I to supervise and guide campers in a safe, engaging outdoor setting. You will live in a cabin with campers and collaborate with Cabin Leaders to provide a balanced program of climbing tower, zip line, archery, canoeing, hiking and crafts.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive service to program participants.
• Collaborate with Cabin Leaders to ensure camper well-being.
• Set up and break down program areas safely and efficiently.
• Build respectful relationships with staff, parents, and campers.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in interactions with others.
• Supervise and live with a cabin group, following the camp schedule.
• Ensure health, hygiene and safety are top priorities for all campers.
• Support campers in understanding and appreciating their environment.
• Plan and lead engaging activities that support personal growth.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA, American Camp Association, and all local, state, and federal standards.
• Submit reports, including incident reports, health logs, and timecards accurately and on time.
