Job summary

Askia Academy at The Dimock Center in Boston is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to join a 24-hour residential recovery program. This hands-on role combines client support, milieu management, and daily program operations.

You will work with clinical teams to reinforce structure, promote accountability, and model healthy behaviors during the critical first year of recovery. The position offers part-time hours across 7am-7am shifts with potential differential for overnight and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in residential or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, structured residential environment.
• Support admissions, orientations, and discharge processes.
• Monitor client well-being and report concerns to clinical staff.
• De-escalate conflicts using therapeutic communication.
• Assist clients with daily needs and promote independence.
• Maintain documentation and support administrative processes.
