  • Design custom floor plans from client inspiration images, sketches, or full original concepts.
  • Ensure all designs comply with building codes, HOA requirements, and Longshore standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering during pre‑construction; incorporate feedback and finalize structural plans.
  • Add and maintain construction details: cross sections, wall elevations, material specs, framing details.
  • Organize drawings and revisions with accurate version control; review plans thoroughly before submission.
  • Communicate with homeowners and team members, addressing design changes promptly (24‑hour turnaround on updates).
  • Follow Longshore's design processes and standards to ensure buildable, cost‑effective plans.
  • Stay current on Chief Architect, residential design trends, building codes, and best practices.
  • Recommend process or tool improvements to enhance efficiency and design quality.

  • Skilled in space planning, material coordination, and furniture layouts
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus
  • Organized, tech‑savvy, and self‑motivated
  • Able to manage multiple projects, appointments, and deadlines independently

Why Join Us?

  • Hours vary between 10‑40 per week, based on project needs
  • Remote position
  • $8 - $15 per hour (depending on experience)
  • A collaborative team that values your creativity and initiative
  • Diverse, high‑end custom projects that showcase your design talent
  • Direct impact on client experience and brand aesthetics
  • A culture that balances hard work, fun, and family
