Overview

Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. They are expected to model a personal commitment to the university’s goals and values, engage in an active commitment to personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview, and view teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end. They employ a variety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests.

Responsibilities

• Teach material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
• Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
• Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
• Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and helping absent students.
• Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
• Motivate students to participate actively in all aspects of the educational process.
• Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
• Maintain university standards regarding course activity, emails, grading, and communication with residential chair and students.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

• Doctorate or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Finance or a related field.
• Additional related fields considered: Financial Management, Financial Modeling, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning.
