Job summary

Grand Hyatt Vail is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Accounting Clerk to join our on-site accounting team. This full-time role supports the financial operations of the residential program and collaborates with property management and corporate accounting.

Key responsibilities include processing transactions, maintaining HOA records, assisting with monthly closes, and preparing owner statements. Strong Excel skills and hospitality experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in hospitality, residential, or property management.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Prior hotel or residential experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile residential owner transactions, including rental revenue, expenses, and owner distributions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks for HOAs.
• Assist with monthly closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support preparation of owner statements and annual tax reporting (including 1099s).
• Review and process invoices, check requests, and journal entries.
• Collaborate with hotel operations, residential management, and corporate teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company and audit standards.
