Job summary

CommuniCare Health's Maplewood Healthcare Center in Bridgeport, WV, is seeking a Director of Social Services (LSW) who will oversee all social and psycho-social programs, ensuring residents’ needs are met with dignity and advocacy.

The role requires a 4-year degree in Social Work or related field, 3–5 years healthcare experience, and state licensure. You will collaborate with caregivers and counsel families, residents, and staff to enrich lives.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree in Social Work or related field.
• 3-5 years of prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Must be licensed by the State Licensure exam through the State Social Worker and Counselor Board.

Responsibilities

• Performance of all social and psycho-social functions.
• Develop and maintain rapport with direct caregivers to support programs and residents’ psychosocial wellbeing.
• Counsel family members, residents, and staff members.
• Advocate for residents and ensure needs are met in harmony with care staff.
