Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current valid Commercial Driver's License in New Jersey with Passenger endorsement (or Class B with air brakes).
• Ability to drive safely and defensively and to maneuver van/bus properly.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English effectively.
• Must submit to pre-employment drug test and random drug/alcohol testing, and have a current medical certificate per CDL.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents safely to medical appointments, activities, and educational programs.
• Deliver required documentation to physicians, therapists, or the Home when transporting residents.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel/oil checks, and report issues to the Assistant Director of Recreation and Transportation.
• Record logs and keep supervisors informed of delays, difficulties, or incidents.
• Remain on schedule and ensure safety as the top priority during all transportation duties.
