Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
• Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico.
• Successful completion of HIPAA training.
• Must read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Occasional travel for training and meetings; weekend, overtime, and callback hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Open and operate the resident store during scheduled hours.
• Assist residents in selecting and purchasing store items with patience and respect.
• Accurately handle cash, transactions, and resident accounts according to facility procedures.
• Stock, organize, and rotate store merchandise to ensure availability and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the store, storage areas, and displays.
• Restock supplies and communicate with supervisor regarding inventory needs.
• Provide courteous service and help residents with small non-direct care requests related to store purchases.
• Monitor resident satisfaction and report concerns to supervisor.
• Prepare reports of sales and usage as required; uphold infection control and safety policies.
• Deliver resident personal items, linens, and laundry in a respectful and timely manner.
