Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior areas of our apartment communities. This entry-level role focuses on cleaning, landscaping support, and ensuring a welcoming, well-kept environment for residents.

The Groundskeeper will perform outdoor maintenance, light painting, bulb replacement, and assist with seasonal tasks, while contributing to a friendly, professional living environment and adhering to our LIVE IT culture.

Qualifications

High School or GED equivalent.
Understanding and knowledge of yardwork and general facility maintenance.
One year of maintenance, repair, or HVAC experience is preferred but not required.
Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough cleaning and pick-up of debris or trash throughout exterior areas of the property.
Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, breezeways, parking lots, green spaces, and community signage areas.
Ensure community trash receptacles and pet stations are well-maintained and free of debris.
Assist with light landscaping tasks including raking, weeding, trimming, and watering as directed by the maintenance team.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of pool deck areas, courtyards, grilling stations, benches, and outdoor amenities.
Assist the maintenance team with light painting of curbs, signposts, and exterior touch-ups as needed.
Conduct light checks around the property and replace exterior bulbs as needed.
Help maintain shop and storage areas in a clean and organized manner to support quick inventory assessment.
Assist with preparation of vacant apartments with light cleaning or removal of debris as requested.
Promote good professional relations with residents, coworkers, and company staff; demonstrate LIVE IT culture.

Work Schedule & Availability

Groundskeeperswork Monday through Friday, with standard office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role may also require participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional support for resident events, as needed.
