Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is hiring a full-time receptionist for our Applewood Center. The role handles phone calls, greeting visitors, scheduling transportation, and basic clerical tasks in a hospital-like long-term care setting.

Paid hourly at $20.00 with full-time benefits including medical coverage and potential 25% compensation uplift. Weekend rotations and flexible hours are required to meet facility needs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure safety and well‑being of patients and visitors.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets and Slides is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls professionally and courteously and redirect them appropriately.
• Warmly welcome, greet and direct patients, visitors, and guests.
• Coordinate outgoing and incoming mail.
• Maintain current lists of patients/residents by name/room number and employees by names/phone extension.
• Order supplies and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
