Rose Associates, Inc. is seeking a Resident Service Coordinator to support residents in our Social Impact department.

You will organize and assess social and health initiatives to empower residents and improve quality of life, collaborating with tenants, staff, vendors, and community partners. The role requires on-site presence, coordination of services, and ability to move within the building to address community needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or social work is preferred, or 2 years in resident support/multifamily housing.
  • Proficiency with office software including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site and Yardi.
  • English and Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate programs, activities and services for residents and liaise with community agencies.
  • Engage with residents to address questions, assist basic needs, and report complaints to management.
  • Network with community service providers to enhance residents’ lives and negotiate discounts.
  • Implement on-site health services and educational events related to health care and life skills.
  • Monitor service provision and document progress for residents needing referrals.
  • Develop a Resource Directory of local services for families, elderly and disabled residents.
  • Track work with residents using the documentation system and complete paperwork for the Service Coordination Program.
  • Submit semi-annual HUD reports to maintain funding for the program.

Join our dynamic team as a Resident Service Coordinator! You'll be at the heart of our Social Impact department, collaborating to create, organize, and assess the impact of vital social and health initiatives. Your role? Empowering residents to enhance their quality of life through tailored programs and services.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assume responsibility for coordinating programs, activities and services for residents on a group basis while serving as a liaison to community agencies.
  • Engage with residents to answer questions, address concerns, assist basic needs, coordinate use of community services, build support networks with other residents, family and friends, and report complaints to management.
  • Network, engage with, and make referrals to community service providers and volunteers within the community to enhance residents’ lives and address areas of need; works to identify low-cost service providers and / or negotiate discounts.
  • Implement on-site or mobile health services and screenings and educational events that include subjects relating to health care, agency support, life skills and referral sources.
  • Monitor the ongoing provision of services from community agencies and keeps documentation with the progress of the individual.
  • Develop a Resource Directory that includes a listing of state and / local services providers for families, children, elderly residents, person with disabilities and emergency assistance.
  • Utilize appropriate documentation system to track all work done with residents and completes paperwork with all residents who utilize the Service Coordination Program.
  • Complete Care Plans/Quarterly Monitoring with residents needing referrals and follows up on all services stand after implementation.
  • Submit Semi- Annual Performance Reports to HUD to maintain funding for the Service Coordination Program at the property.
  • Must be present on-site and be able to move throughout the building to address community-related matters, including exceptional communication skills to meet with tenants, staff, vendors and visitors.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with exposure to varying environmental climates and circumstances.
  • Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or social work is preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of experience working in resident support or multifamily housing.
  • Proficiency in navigating computers and community management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi.
  • Interpersonal communication skills in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within the first 120 days of employment. All active license holders must register their license with Rose Associates upon hire.
  • Work authorization (required)
  • Must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

Hourly pay range: $29 - $32
