Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Wayne, NJ is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents, delivered with respect and dignity.

This full-time role includes assisting with activities of daily living, escorting residents to meals and activities, and supporting overall well-being while following nurse and wellness staff instructions. A weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) required or preferred.
• Experience assisting residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Previous geriatric care experience is preferred, including ADLs assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Basic understanding of dementia; patient and professional in redirecting residents.
• Ability to adapt to different personalities and situations positively.
• Must be reliable, caring, and gentle in touch and demeanor.
• Maintain respect for the elderly and stay calm at all times.

Additional Responsibilities Include

• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness

Full-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week (Tues–Sat or Sun–Thurs).
