Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents. You will support daily living activities and help maintain safety and dignity in a welcoming community.

Full-time schedules include one weekend shift per week, with duties governed by the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness. Prior CNA/HHA experience and English proficiency are preferred to deliver high-quality elder care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide certification preferred.
• English reading and speaking proficiency required.
• Experience with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred, assisting with ADLs.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Basic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residents.
• Ability to adapt to different personalities and situations.
• Must be reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanor.
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho‑social well‑being.
• Helping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing of our residents.
• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness.
