Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Englewood, NJ, seeks compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on care in a respectful, dignified manner. You will be a friendly presence for residents, helping with daily activities and promoting wellbeing.

Full-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week (Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs). Qualifications include CNA/PCA/HHA credentials, English proficiency, and experience with geriatric residents and Alzheimer's/dementia care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide certification required.
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease/dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred; ability to assist with ADLs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents to achieve optimal physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Assist in Wellness area to ensure safety and comfort of residents.
• Follow policies, procedures, and directions from supervisors.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being
• Helping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of our residents
• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness
