Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a Resident Manager for its Adult Rehabilitation Center in Detroit. On the 2nd shift, you will uphold the center's philosophy and standards, ensuring program integrity and supporting beneficiaries on their recovery journey.

The role requires overseeing security, beneficiary support, and administrative duties, with a pay rate of $18–$23 per hour and full-time status. A valid driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Army insurance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce center rules and maintain security.
• Lead beneficiary orientations and facility tours.
• Conduct weekly house meetings.
• Oversee medication calls and documentation.
• Respond to inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and Safe From Harm records.
• Perform regular bed checks.
• Coordinate leisure time activities.
• Provide safe transportation when needed.
• Resolve beneficiary problems as they arise.
• Train and supervise work therapy tasks.
• Refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator.
• Administer required drug and alcohol screenings.
• Maintain daily reports and electronic entries.
• Document program violations and incidents.
• Engage in professional development.
• Support center policies and ensure compliance.
• Travel up to 2 times yearly for training/events.
