Job summary

Allegan County is seeking a dedicated individual to prepare and serve nourishing, well-balanced meals for residents. You will maintain meal records and assist in training kitchen staff across a 24/7 residential facility.

The position offers a part-time, variable schedule with approximately 19.5 hours per week at a wage of $17.83 per hour. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must have a valid Michigan driver's license. Drug screening is required prior to hire.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED required.
• One year of experience in food service and food safety desired.
• Candidates must pass a drug screen (including THC) prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with supervisor the preparation of meals for the 24/7 residential facility.
• Serves meals to residents and staff in accordance with court security policies and procedures.
• Cleans kitchen area and utensils used in preparation of meals.
• Assists in training residents and staff assigned to work in the kitchen.
• Assists in maintaining food inventory, record keeping and ordering food.
