Job summary

Pavilion Logan Square is seeking a Cook to join their team. The cook prepares and serves resident meals using proper food handling and safety techniques, maintaining nutritional guidelines and resident respect.

As a full-time Cook at Pavilion Healthcare, you will coordinate meal service with dietary staff, follow established policies, and contribute to a caring, respectful culture that supports residents and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must read recipes and convert ingredients to serving sizes.
• Must cook a variety of foods in large quantities.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspects special diet trays to assure correct diet is served.
• Performs administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms and reports.
• Coordinates meal service with other departments as necessary.
• Works with culinary director and implements recommended changes.
• Ensures dietary procedures follow established policies.
• Maintains menus and files per policies.
• Establishes food service production lines to ensure timely meals.
• Processes diet changes from nursing/dietary staff.
• Takes pride in preparation and presentation of meals.
• Other duties as assigned.
