Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. seeks a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies. The role involves following the guidance of the Director of Food Services and Dietary Manager/Executive Chef, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with inventory and special dietary requests.

The position requires regular attendance, ServSafe compliance, and basic computer skills, with flexibility for after-hours work as needed to support residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• CDM certification that is in good standing with the State preferred.
• Must have successfully completed all ServSafe educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure meals are palatable and properly portioned.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist in inventorying and stocking food and supplies.
• Report hazards and incidents to the Director of Food Services.
