Job summary

Vivo Healthcare in Florida seeks a dietary aide to assist in preparing meals for patients in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. You will help plan weekly meals, chop ingredients, and ensure sanitation of food prep areas. This role often begins in food service as a cook prep-cook.

You will organize dining areas, deliver meals, and support menu planning within budget and patient requirements, while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, Residents, families, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and assist in cooking for patients in assisted living/skilled nursing.
• Organize and adjust tables for dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and usability.
• Deliver meals and food trays to patients at scheduled times.
• Assist Food Service Director in creating menus within budget and patient needs.
