Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Resident Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Field Schedulers and Resident Maintenance Specialists within an assigned territory. You will oversee scheduling, performance coaching, and cross-department collaboration to keep properties well maintained and residents satisfied.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and customer service skills, with weekend availability and MS Office proficiency. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of progressive responsibility in a maintenance/call center environment preferred.
• Experience in leading teams is required.
• Scheduling/Dispatching experience is highly desirable.
• A keen understanding of the construction, maintenance, and/or property management industry is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong planning, organizing, negotiating, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Solid customer service, quality, and results orientation.
• The capacity to interact effectively at all levels and break down barriers across departments/diverse cultures.
• The capability to be an effective member of and lead project teams.
• Willingness to work weekends, as needed.

• Ensure proper scheduled coverage of the team to meet organizational needs.
• Monitor team performance and conduct coaching or development sessions.

• Review vendor bid submissions to meet company expectations.
• Provide support to resolve issues or escalations and ensure work orders are completed promptly.
• Lead meetings aligned with seasonal and operational trends.
• Collaborate with departmental teams to ensure completion of service needs within the territory.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $63,909.00 to $79,864.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive quarterly bonus payments.
