Job summary

Safire Rehabilitation of Southtowns is seeking a full-time Laundry Aide in Buffalo, NY to maintain and distribute clean linens for residents. You will wash, sort, dry, fold, and label laundry, ensuring supplies are stocked and reported needs are addressed. Weekend availability and a collaborative approach are required.

Qualifications

• One-year experience with laundry is preferred.
• Must be able to work as a team member.
• Requires weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds and distributes laundry items to residents.
• Labels residents’ personal laundry and linens as directed.
• Cleans dryer filters as necessary.
• Keeps an adequate supply of laundry supplies in stock.
• Notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
• Keeps laundry carts clean and in good working order.
• Stores equipment, tools and supplies properly.
• Keeps a log of missing items and returns them.
• Reports maintenance or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Reports any questionable resident conditions to supervisor.
