Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a qualified Resident Inspector to join our Construction Engineering Department in Wall, Newark or Camden, NJ. This role focuses on monitoring bridge and roadway construction projects across New Jersey, working with Project Managers to ensure contract compliance and proper documentation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license or NICET certification, and at least four years of inspection experience, with TWIC

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction inspection on New Jersey bridge and roadway projects.

  • Travel to project sites as required.
  • Ensure daily contractor operations comply with contract documents.
  • Keep organized and up-to-date project files.

Camden, NJ, US French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Inspector to join our Construction Engineering Department in Wall, Newark or Camden, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work directly on bridge and roadway construction projects throughout New Jersey. Working closely with Project Managers, the Resident Inspector will monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract documents, assist in reviewing cost estimates and project submittals, and maintain accurate project documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform construction inspection on New Jersey based bridge and roadway projects.

Assist in the review of Cost Estimates and project submittals.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers.
  • Travel to projects sites when required.
  • Ensure daily contractor operations are in accordance with Contract Documents.
  • Keep organized and up to date project files.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Civil Engineering school required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or valid NICET Certification required.
  • Experience performing construction inspection.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with construction projects.
  • Ability to pass a TWIC Background Check.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, education, qualifications, and skill set. FPA recognizes and rewards performance through an annual bonus program.
